Yoga & Beyond For Children
Children are invaluable to the progression of our world, their young minds benefit from nurturing particular skills and tools that they can carry through their developmental stages.
In extending our teaching to children, our aim is to encourage empathetic, emotionally intelligent souls who understand how to manage their minds and responses to external stressors.
We hope that by instilling these life-long skills, children can have a more fulfilled and focused educational experience.
The Yoga For Children Programme
We deliver a 12-week programme to a range of primary school students to teach emotional intelligence, expression, movement, relaxation, and compassion. We cover basic yoga history and philosophy. Although not a religious practice, yoga is rooted in Hinduism, and therefore some use of Sanskrit terminology will pay respects to this ancient practice.
The aim of this programme is to introduce Pranayama (breathwork), Asana (poses/postures), and Meditation, which within this programme will be a basic relaxation exercise. Pupils will explore forward folds, spine – rotations, extensions and flexion, stretching, balancing, and visualisation techniques.
The ethos behind these lesson plans is to encourage pupils’ development of resilience and self-awareness. Pupils are increasingly encouraged to make choices in their yoga practice about what works for them and their bodies.

We are looking to expand our After School Programme delivery to Primary Schools in the Nottingham region, as an alternative to the in-school curriculum approach.
We offer 15 places that parents are able to book themselves via our third party booking system. Links are circulated through each schools marketing and communication platform.
